

Meet The Teacher
Founded by Hallie Rezsnyak in 1993, Songbird Studios originated its journey. Initially located in High Park within downtown Toronto, the studio's ownership transitioned to Hallie Rezsnyak's daughter, Rhea Widdis. Under Rhea's stewardship, the studio was relocated to Pickering in February 2006 and the border of Clarington and Northumberland in November 2015 and NEW LOCATION in Colborne.





My Story
Rhea Widdis is a classically trained Soprano with 20+ years experience in teaching and vocal performance. At the age of 3, Rhea started singing with her mom and learning the basics of music. Under the instruction of such teachers as Jeanette Dupluse she has performed in the capacity as both soloist, chorister and vocal coach.
Rhea was given the privilege of touring around Europe as a Mezzo Soprano soloist for several choirs and opera companies though out her career. She has performed in such places as Carnegie Hall in New York, Roy Thompson Hall in Toronto, Parco della Musica and Roman amphitheater in Italy and many more.
Previously a backup singer for Shania Twain and Celine Dion, Rhea is versed in several different genres of Music. She is a Royal Conservatory of Music Teacher, a certified Music teacher though Music together program and is an Early Childhood Educator.
She currently is an Elementary supply teacher for the local school board.
Performing for several private functions, Rhea also donates her time and voice for special events including fund raisers for Childrens Wish Foundation, Hudson's Bay Company, Candle in the night service, Second Harvest and United way.
Rhea enjoys each students capacity to learn and encourages a long lasting love for music.
